I eat and lay around because I am insecure and lonely. I know this. I think this as I lay around and stuff my face with food that not only do I know will add to my insecurity but also makes me feel terrible. Yet I just keep doing it. Its my crutch I guess, a way to console my insecurity. However its a horrific cycle of feeling sorry for myself, making it worse, then feeling even worse about myself... I know what I need to do, but I lack the motivation to do it. I need to eat less, eat healther (more fruits and vegetables) and work out. When I'm alone, I eat terrible as there is no one around to judge me so I indulge (yes, I know, I still judge myself anyways..), and at the gym, it is full of good looking people which motivates me, but what it does even more than that, is makes me feel even more insecure. Ug. I wish I had someone close to me who could be my partner in making healthier habits. I know once I'm into the habit it will likely get easier... but the problem is that I just can't get into it... My friends and family are flaky and too wrapped up in their own worlds to make these lifestyle changes with me. They also lack motivation, or are not consistenly available to me, which isn't exactly helpful. How can I be better at motivating myself? Because I am really good at making excuses, or just saying f**k it, I'm done, I'll try again tomorrow.
