They (who is they?) .. They say that you burn off more than you take in. Seems simle. A woman who works for me went to a 1200 calorie a day diet. She also did the treadmill for 30 minutes a day. She lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks. I find that if I am "careful" with what I eat, but don't eat after 6:00 it helps. I think everyone is different. What works for one doesn't work for another. You have to find what works for you.
The only equation I worry about is that I need to burn more than I put in, so if I increase my activity and watch my calories then the weight should come off.
