We all get side tracked and discouraged sometimes and the group is great for getting us back on the right road. Some of us even use mirrors as a motivater. I have a brand new closet in my bedroom. My hubby put mirrored doors on it. They are floor to ceiling and more than 6 feet wide. When I get up in the morning I see plenty. : )
I usually start the day with words like "Oh ya, right." and then I start my workout.
One daily positive action toward weight loss a day is the beginning...it is as simple as drinking a glass of water day...
Connecting with others is helpful...
I too dislike the way I look & don't want to date because of it...a positive from that is I have learned a lot being on my own & am not in a relationship just to be in one...
You addiction is something you should get outside help for.
And your weight is something you can get a grip on, but the first step is to realize that "choice" and "behavior" have very little to do with the way you may be eating unhealthy.
Very few people really know what it means to eat healthy. Feeling satisfied with your food is a big part, but to do well, you need to learn skills!
It isn't your fault, you simply haven't learned the proper skills.
I strongly suggest making a list of all the negative things you say about yourself.
Next, make a list of things you can say instead.
And most importantly, ACTUALLY start saying those positive things!
The more you are negative and hard on yourself, the harder it will all be. All of us can be hard on ourselves, but that point where you stop treating yourself like an enemy, and instead treat yourself like your own bestfriend, that is when your whole life will change, GUARANTEED!
