Snowbelt of Southern Ontario for me. We're getting another storm today. Yippee
Yesterday was -27 on the farm. Now it's warm enough to snow. Like you I'm really losing my sense of Ha Ha. I don't think folks south of the border can really understand why we all invest so much hope in that damn rodent at the beginning of the month but I'm clinging to his having not seen his shadow.
Hang in there. Soon it will be warm enough for freezing rain. ; )
Use towels n/r blanket n/r sheets over windows. For get about landlord. it's a matter of health.
If there is a molding/fram around window use. attach choth r sheet of plastic just above the top edge of molding up against the wall, out of sight.
Also steam will warm the air but don't put to much moisture in room.
Heat rise's so the top area of any room is where the heat is.
block off rooms that u can get by without using.
I use a towel rolled up on floor in front of my back door. I also have a thick towel on back door window. every bit helps.
If needed stand r seat fairly near oven when you 1st get up to get dressed.
I like 1/2 finger sleve gloves. tips of fingers are not covered.
Soups : )
count cal.'s
use water in recipes instead of milk if recipe list 3 eggs use only 2
I use 1/2 amount of sugar and I only use cal free sweetner
I rather bundle up and sweat, than go for jog. I also do a few laps inside my home. I don't go outside when it's @#$^@ cold.
Oh ya. I turn shower on n close bath rm door. steaming up room and warming shower curtain.
when in shower I put shampoo bottle on cornors of shower curtain to keep draft out. After I shower I dry off in shower and get my undies and pants on while in shower.
I also have a portable heater's.
During day go to mall n take lap top n/r news paper/book. enjoy the free heat.
Some people will spend a few morning hours at mall, having their coffee. as temp outside rises and their places gets warm during certain time of day. it is during the warest part that theyspend time at home.
I suggest an elect blanket. and soups w/o crackers.
Be creative with house hold items that can be used as exercise equipment.

Only a few days a year is my home really, really cold...I live on the top floor on a 6 story building...down side add 15 degrees in the Summer...
Although not cardio I sometimes do deep breathing, lower abs work (pressing lower back down & holding lower abs tight), full body stretches and gluteal tightening & releasing when under blankets watching TV on the couch...I think of it as spot toning as muscles move..it beats being cold & puts me in touch with my body...
