My go to for sweet is fresh fruit salad (I go shopping 2x a week and prep the salad right away with whatever was on sale. In the winter I usually incorporate something bulky like melon or pineapple just because of cost) I top this with vanilla flavoured low fat yogurt and Nature's mix granola - available online) It's not the lowest calorie snack but I'm still battling my junk food addiction and this keeps me from going to the variety store. I tried their chocolate chip granola thinking it would give me a tiny chocolate fix but all it did was awake the beast and get me over indulging. The bag is gone now and I won't be buying that flavour again. It was too yummy. Baby steps.
I also keep vegetables sliced up ready for snacking (sticks of celery, peppers, cucumbers, carrots as well as the already sliced mushrooms) On my own I won't dip them in anything but if my daughter is around with the ranch dressing I can't keep out of it.
I tried keeping unsalted nuts around (pecans, almonds & cashews) but I can't eat them responsibly so threw the pecans and almonds in the freezer and the cashews (my favourite) in the garbage.
When I have an overwhelming craving for one, I eat a couple teas. of peanut butter, half a small banana and on one slice of reduced calorie bread. That reduces the damage a bit but it's a rare treat for me. I end up settling for an apple, orange, carrots, or five soda crackers.
1 half cup Greek Nonfat Yogurt Plain
1 half cup Fat Free Skim Milk
1 half cup unsweetened frozen Fruit
1 packet of sweetner
Put all in a blender and mix.....almost like eating ice cream.
my 4 first natural treats are ones I really want to try:
summer berry flapjack
Jaffa cake- Belgian dark choc, orange raisins and toasted hazlenuts
jam doughnut- raspberry strings, sponge pieces, raspberry cranberries & almond slices
lightly toasted pistachios
Really impressed that you get a little booklet with nutritional info for the snacks. Also the products are easy to find on fatsecret and myfitnesspal (the apps that I have started using).
I'd really recommend graze boxes
If anyone needs a friend code mine is: EMMAR3F4P
This code will enable you to get your 1st, 5th and 10th boxes free "
Sometimes when I do snack I eat a lot of hard boiled eggs. I used to eat cheese but have recently cut out dairy.
Beef jerky.
Guess I'm not a big snacker.
also in response to your comment on the graze box post, they have beef jerky in the graze boxes
