dressings are loaded with fat grams and calories. then cheese is really bad too, and i dont know what else u put on yours.
unless you have throid problems or diabetes or something like that it is not impossible to lose weight.i dont know if you have any health issues that would prohibit your bidy from burning fat....
i know that when i thought i was eating alright and working out, it wasnt until i wrote everything down and realized how much i was actually eating....i have been doing 1200cals a day and 20g of fat a day, sometimes i go over, but its ok because i figured out for my body how many cals i need for weight maintenance and weight loss, and even when i go over, i dont really literally go over what my body needs in a day.....i have lost 9 pounds in two weeks.......and i just started to seriously get on a workout schedule this week.....
anyway, you could always join us in the posts, they are helping the few of us that are still keeping with it.
My salads are mixed lettuce, 2 oz chicken breast, 1 oz cheese, some slivered almonds, a few croutons (like maybe 4 broken up) and a homemade lemon and dill salad dressing. Doesn't seem too too bad from reading that. With 2 tbsp of dressing - the whole salad is about 500 calories. This is my dinner salad - my lunch salad is a regular mixed salad with low fat dressing, varying by day for flavour!
When I look at this other site - it tracks number of calories per day, amounts of carbs, protein, and fat - all of these numbers (with the exception of over this past weekend) are well within the proper ranges.
Carbs - between 163-201 - mine average around 120
Protein - between 60 - 120 - mine average around 40
Fats - between 32-60 - mine average around 43.
So all of these are well within the acceptable range for weight loss - from what I read, but it still doesn't help me.
Any more thoughts? I have just scheduled a consultation with a dietician but it is going to cost me a bunch, and I don't want to have to go that route. Your help is very much appreciated.
Maybe you need blood work done....or maybe youre not getting enough calories? i dont know....got me.
If i were you, i would keep a journal of every little thing i put in my mouth...like EVERYTHING. (I'm not sure if youre already doing that or not)....I know that when I started writing everything down, i was like WHOA!!...and i didnt think i was eating that bad...so it could help...I even told my doc I wasnt doing anything differently, and that I was just gaining weight, and when I started writing it, I realized why I gained so much weight....
other than that, im not really sure what to tell you...how much do u weigh? how tall are u?
I stand 5'11" and weigh in at about 155.
According to the BMI, I am a 21.5 (whatever that really means, I don't know if I believe)
I would like to drop another 15 pounds - that would be the ideal body weight for me.
I have seen my family doctor - he gave me xenical pills and referred me to a dietician. I have scheduled that appointment for next week, but am really nervous about it!
Just dont be nervous, be ecxited!! I'm interested in going to a dietitian as well, so let me know how it goes, ok?
You may know this but make sure you weight yourself under the same conditions each day. (For example don't drink a bottle of water, then weight...or do that each time!)
I'm rooting for you!
You might not be eating enough and your body is starting to store fat. Make sure you get a good high protein breakfast. Are you eating any protein for lunch or dinner. Just a salad may be sending your body into a storing mode. I'd be glad to help you in any way I can.
