Good luck in reaching your goals.
At your current weight, you could lose 1-2lbs/wk eating 1600-1800 cal/day. Determine your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure - the number of calories you expend daily) and eat about 500-700 calories less. That will give you a lose of about 4-6lbs per month. And you will be eating enough to ward off the "OMG I'm STARVING late afternoon/night" overeating.
Check out this website for more info on TDEE.

@ Scarlet, excuse the question, but what is the MFP?
Thanks,
AM613
MFP is MyFitnessPal.com. A great calorie counting/food logging/fitness website and a great community. I found MFP 2 years ago when I weighed 232lbs. Since then I have lost (and kept off!) 50lbs. I have another 25lbs to go to get healthy, then another 15-20lbs to lose to get awesomely fit.
FWIF, MFP was great when I joined in early 2013 but was recently bought by UnderAmour - the "upgrades" and for-pay "Premium" service have been detrimental to the "community aspect" of the site. But it is still worth a try....
I've gotten to a point where my initial big goal seems within reach - and I seem to have gotten complacent. Time to refocus, finish the initial vague goal and set the ultimate end goal!
Thank you again.
