I heard great things about ww. Congrat's on the wt loss.
Wt loss should be no more than 2 lbs a wk for long term goals (IMO)
I believe this is a lifestyle. It cannot be turned on and off; we should try and live it each day.
Any excercise or movement is good. The more the better. I do a lot of home excercises. I am retired, so have lots of time. I do 50 mens push ups each day (10 at a time), 40 situps, etc. Excercise makes me feel better.
I also believe in portion control, excluding no foods. I am still working on that one. I try and keep calories at least 2000, as I am always hungry....
This is a great support group, with members having great ideas on how to approach weight long term....
Welcome.......
I am a slow mover in terms of committing to a program of weight loss...I have tried several - succeeded - then put it back on...I too recently reached an all time high...now back to my normal range for the last 2 years.
Recently I visited the American Council of Exercise (ACE) website. There is a lot of good stuff. To get moving I dance / jog / stretch in front of the TV while watching shows on my DVR (that way I can rewind...)
I will have to check that website out. I had never heard of it before. I did get some walking in with a friend today and hopefully will do something tomorrow too. I am determined to lose the weight. Marie
I'm of the philosophy that the "perfect exercise program" that is impossible to stick to is not as good as the imperfect one that we can commit to. So find an exercise program that you can stick to, and work at making it better!
