Common causes of skeletal muscle cramps may include muscle fatigue, low sodium, low potassium, and/or low magnesium (from Wikipedia, so I'm not sure how accurate).
Maybe it wouldn't hurt to use an app like myfitnesspal to monitor your daily intake of these nutrients?
I take 400 mg of Mg daily. It's relatively easy to find the correct dosage, because if you take too much there is a nasty little side effect of diarrhea. However 400 mg is a safe and effective dose. Lots of people in the Afib forum take it daily, because it is also an essential element for the heart.
Magnesium you can get in a spray bottle use it as deodorant it helps your body and keeps you dry as well.
I would lean more to the fact that you are dehydrated ~ more water in the day time
water is definetly not my problem.i have an 8 cup brita jug and from the time i get up to the time i go to bed i drink by myself amost 3 of those jugs by myself.my doctor is concerend as well about my water intake. i have to cut back.do deinfetly not de hydration.
i take a multi vitamin that has magnesium but perhaps i am not getting enough.
You need calcium, magnesium, and potassium. Hope that supplementing with those will help. God bless.
