Diabetes Type 2 Support Group
Type 2 Diabetes is a condition in which the body either does not produce enough insulin or does not make efficient use of it. Insulin is a hormone needed to convert food into glucose, a sugar that the body uses for energy. Without enough insulin, glucose can accumulate in the blood, and can cause serious health problems such as heart disease and strokes and organ damage...
I would do any enjoyable exercise that you can.
I always walked everyday also and the walking was for my diabetes. I never tested after a swim.
I don't swim now due to a frozen shoulder problem I can't seem to get rid of. but I agree that any exercise helps but so far walking is the bestfor some reason.
Hope like your new picture!!
It's funny that you should mention a frozen shoulder problem. My nephew also has diabetes and has had a frozen shoulder problems a couple of times. He said that it often happens to those who have diabetes. He said that as soon as you think you have a frozen shoulder, you should get help. I think he said to go to a physiotherapist or get some kind of shot before it gets any worse.
Sorry I can't be more specific, but I can ask him again exactly what he did for it to get relief.
Therapy is $25.00 a shot unlike years ago so I can't afford that twice a week or three times a week. Thanks for the info though!!
Lynnie, I wonder what kind of shot your nephew is talking about.
