Type 2 Diabetes is a condition in which the body either does not produce enough insulin or does not make efficient use of it. Insulin is a hormone needed to convert food into glucose, a sugar that the body uses for energy. It is really hard during the holiday season to be good all the time. I have cheated a bit, but I usually give up some other carb to do so. However, it was my birthday last week and my numbers had been really good too.....so I gave nothing up, but just ate a really small amount (a few tablespoons of one thing and a quarter cup of another lol)....i got really lucky and my numbers were unaffected :)
perhaps ou can get away with very small portions is the way to go over the holidays.
I am one of the lucky ppl that candy, cookies, and various treats are not my thing. I'm more of a pasta, mashed potato and gravy, rolls and butter, pizza type junkie LOL. I miss my old carb buddies, but I have found other things more important....but that is just me.
Keep up the good job and keep in mind that your good numbers are from your hard work. I hope your feet issue clears up.
