Type 2 Diabetes is a condition in which the body either does not produce enough insulin or does not make efficient use of it. Insulin is a hormone needed to convert food into glucose, a sugar that the body uses for energy. Without enough insulin, glucose can accumulate in the blood, and can cause serious health problems such as heart disease and strokes and organ damage...
I guarantee you if we eat the same food, portions, exercise the same amount of time we will have different numbers at any given time.
Always caring a snack with you if you are afraid of low blood sugar, even if you are not afraid carry something it is a good habit to get into, just in case.
grannie is right everyone seems to be so different with this it seems. I have been places and start sweating sometimes, get shakey where I assume the numbers are too low. Happened in a grocery store so I grabbed a small bottle of orange juice and drank it down then I got too tired. I usually carry some lifesavers candy in my purse. I am confused about this disease....not sure if my pancreas is now acting up from the Met drugs.
It is the fear of hypoglycemia that keeps me on my toes....
