Diabetes Type 2 Support Group
Type 2 Diabetes is a condition in which the body either does not produce enough insulin or does not make efficient use of it. Insulin is a hormone needed to convert food into glucose, a sugar that the body uses for energy. Without enough insulin, glucose can accumulate in the blood, and can cause serious health problems such as heart disease and strokes and organ damage...
Doctors do not know what our bodies are doing, they have training but they do not know the individual person and how they react, the only thing is to take charge of your own health since only you know how you feel, etc.
very proud of ya
Sorry, I realize I am running on. Sometimes, I just need to vent and this seems to be the place.
When I started with the one I have now, I interviewed her....asked her what she believed with diabetes, how many patients did she treat with this, did she believe in me taking control of my own health and did she have a problem knowing I would not just do everything she said, that she only had 45% control of my health....of course her look also priceless thinking what kind of patient do I now have but she answered all right....
More people need to take control of their health, and learn as much as they can about their bodies.
