There is a lot of info on the Internet. Yes, Wal-Mart sells diabetic needs but if you don't know what to look for or when to use them, I would wait until a Doctor instructed me to do so.

Your diet is a healthy diet, watch fats, starches, stay away from white breads, pastas, potatoes, and rice at least until you gain complete and tight control of your numbers. Watch the portion sizes and learn to count the carbs and keep track at first (doing a food diary will help you stay on track) most of us can maintain about 35-45 carbs a meal and about 15 or so for a snack. Don't worry about the "so called sugar free foods", they still have carbs and they are the enemy (carbs are sugars)
