It seems to be a bit of a breakthrough in treatment as it also helps lower blood pressure and loose weight.

Maybe if all of us US and Canadian diabetes start raising a little you-know-what with our lawmakers we'd be able to literally get a shot at it.
It sounds really interesting though, but why oh why do all the interesting drug developments have to involve a needle? I'd still like to avoid injections. I'm a bit needle-phobic. Just call me chicken. I guess that's something I'll eventually have to get over huh?
I Hear Canada OK on the drug laws? Just grow your own.
I think if if's successful it will very soon be available everywhere, I'm going to ask my dr's about this, odds on they haven't heard of it .
I agree with the needle thing. There is a system of air pressure injection but it is not in use for diabetic drugs for some reason
The good thing about this medication, if it works is it's fairly cheap as drugs go. Otherwise it would not be paid for in the UK as most new treatments are deemed too expensive!
It appears to be the answer and has undergone some vigerous testing with positive results.. but is early days for any complications and drawbacks.
I am on the list for a gastric bypass and have just missed my first operation date because it conflicted with a trip to tidy up all my issues before I go for surgery....
As a hopeless diabetic, the gastric bypass seemed to be my only option for a healthier life and was recommended by my GP...
I will certainley be making an appointment to see him to discuss this new drug and wether it is an option before surgery...
9 tablets and 2 injections a day for diabetes and related conditions has to stop....
Please take care you lot...dont leave it too late before you make nesessary changes.. otherwise you to could be looking at surgery as a last result.
