I am so sad to tell you all that my sister, who was a heavy smoker and had diabetes, died early this morning. I am so tired. The hospital was calling me during the night to update me on her progress (I live in the Midwest, she lives in Las Vegas.)
She had both legs amputated over the past few years, and then had to have open heart surgery 6 weeks ago. The nurse told me that it is really a blessing that she died. But she was only 63. Anyway, the ordeal is over. Now I have to help my Mom through this.

I had gone to the grocery store. When I wheeled my cartback to my car I just stool there a minute. A few spacesaway a Tesla Cyber truck was parked. I had seen it on theroad a few times for a few seconds. But not close up.It looked like it belonged to 2126 and not 2026. I wasgoing to take a picture of the car but the owners cameback and drove away. It was an ordinary middle age...

It may be a wake up call for me to me to start taking care of my diabetes and not take it so lightly.

He starting going downhill in December 2014 (Dementia) and 6 months later he had to be taken to a memory wing of a facility where he might have lived for a long time.
But, he did not last long there. He still had complications with diabetes (high blood sugar) and one night his sugars hit the roof and because of that he took a fall which caused his brain to bleed.
This ultimately was fatal and now we feel that perhaps the fall was also a blessing in disguise because otherwise he would have lived many years with no quality of life which he clearly did not want to. He was 74.
What I'm saying is that people have to take diabetes very seriously. You lose eyes, limbs, and brain function. I'm sorry about your sister and know how you must feel. I am also sorry your mother has to go through this. My parents passed on years ago so they never had to witness my 2 brothers die.
