Diabetes Type 2 Support Group
Type 2 Diabetes is a condition in which the body either does not produce enough insulin or does not make efficient use of it. Insulin is a hormone needed to convert food into glucose, a sugar that the body uses for energy. Without enough insulin, glucose can accumulate in the blood, and can cause serious health problems such as heart disease and strokes and organ damage...
To what do you attribute this improvement to ?
I made controlling my diabetes a conscious effort....every day, and with every bite of food I put into my mouth.
I have to make this a lifestyle change. Now that my weight is coming down and my BS levels are looking good I know I have to maintain this healthy diet and exercise for my lifetime. I see my doctor on the 19th to discuss my lab results. It is my hope that some of my meds will be lowered if not discontinued entirely. He had hinted at my last visit with him that if I continued on this path a change for my meds was very possible.
Congratulations!
But I have back-slidden ( a new word?)..
Last years E (snow removal and the E bike) are not present and/or down...
I'll have to dream up some new excuses...
A good long walk and a little less fat in the diet....this may work...
I attribute a lot of the success to the people here and these forums. Thanks to everyone!!!
