It is very hard to count carbs when dining out. Suggestions? Just follow the 1/2 plate vegs, 1/4 plate protein, 1/4 starch?

enjoy the meal. Just steer clear of heavy dishes. But I went out and my glucose shot up to 350 (17.9 Canadian numbers). But do not forget to bring your medication with you. Once in a while, it is okay.

Just remember to pick something that isn't loaded with a bunch of fried foods or pastas. Most restaurants (especially in our area) will have a star or something by the food stating it is "healthy' but even those you need to really read the menu
