Diabetes Type 2 Support Group
Type 2 Diabetes is a condition in which the body either does not produce enough insulin or does not make efficient use of it. Insulin is a hormone needed to convert food into glucose, a sugar that the body uses for energy. Without enough insulin, glucose can accumulate in the blood, and can cause serious health problems such as heart disease and strokes and organ damage...
Here is a video series that explains a lot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YpllomiDMX0
Even when I hit a low, I never am lightheaded, slow yes. I am wondering if folks that are on the pill experience different feelings than those on insulin.
I have been going through this for several months now and some days I get the symptoms and other times....not.
According to the doctor I am seeing....you will not go into hypo until the low 70's.
However.....I carry snacks with me at all times as well as my testing kit.
Even if I'm only at 100 or below and I feel "symptoms"....I have a snack just so that feeling will go away.....especially if I'm going to be driving. I don't care if my body is trying to adjust....I ain't takin chances :)
Yes will check it out with the doc as well. It is not like i go into hypo mode... But i feel a little anxiety.
Specially when i know its around 120 and can quickly go down to 70.. hehe...
I wish there was a fixed speed at which the sugar goes down, that woul be good to keep a track.
