They had a demonstrationion on exercises with a latex band which they also gave to you. Also a demostration on a new metre which was free if you wanted one. It can be set up to read on the computer..
The last speaker was the nutritionist on food, etc and then a Diabetic Jeopardy game. We were also given a free lunch of soup, sandwich, veggies and dessert and at registration we were given a energy bar and refreshments.
It was the first time for this fair and they hope to have it again next year. It was put on the Diabetic Centre from the hospital in our area.
I learned a lot of things but it's too long to put down here. If you have any questions, maybe I can answer them..
IMO, there is nothing as good as having and walking the dogs..a double win situation..
