Diabetes Type 2 Support Group
Type 2 Diabetes is a condition in which the body either does not produce enough insulin or does not make efficient use of it. Insulin is a hormone needed to convert food into glucose, a sugar that the body uses for energy. Without enough insulin, glucose can accumulate in the blood, and can cause serious health problems such as heart disease and strokes and organ damage...
Hope she's able to get it figured out.. I wouldn't look into transplanting until you figure out the cause.. Would hate to spend all that money and pain and have the new hair fall out too.
I agree there are so many men and women bald....I also thinking the same thing that some of the shampoos and hair stuff could cause it, dries out the roots so bad.
Also stress can cause hair loss as well.. So many things can cause thinning of the hair..but baldness is usually something more serious, but if thyroid issues is the cause usually during treatment your hair will grow back if THAT is the cause..
I'm not a doctor so I can only state what MY doctor has told me which I trust to the moon and back.. I don't always hold a lot of weight to things I find on the internet since medical issues is so specific person to person.
I also know stress causes thinning hair and balding but in my case antibiotics from surgery threw off my thyroid meds and thus my hair started to fall out.
People use way too much hair gook these days, plugs pores in scalp and cheap shampoo dries the hair follicles and causes baldness. Especially men with all that wet looking, greasy look.
Gee----come to think of it...I should rub cheap shampoo on my legs, maybe they would go bald and never need to shave them again ! =) LOL
On a side note I tried a "natural" shampoo one time... Threw that crud right out.. Talk about stiff hair. It was terrible. I also can't use the 2 in 1 shampoos.. Puts so much static in my hair it's crazy.
I sweat at night too...hate that...first I'm hot then cold back and forth.
