Diabetes Type 2 Support Group
Type 2 Diabetes is a condition in which the body either does not produce enough insulin or does not make efficient use of it. Insulin is a hormone needed to convert food into glucose, a sugar that the body uses for energy. Without enough insulin, glucose can accumulate in the blood, and can cause serious health problems such as heart disease and strokes and organ damage...
5HTP (Walgreens - Natrol brand works well for me; anything else does not; although some report suggests that walgreens brand is fake so that is probably why it doesn't work)
Acetly-l-carnitine with alpha lipoic acid (Walgreens)
choline/inositol (special vitamin stores have this; need to take it with the Acetyl-l-carnitine for it to work well)
I get these from the vitamin stores:
L-tyrosine (this one raises blood pressure so you have to balance it out with L-Histidine as L-Histidine lowers blood pressure; although I have switched to L-carnosine as they say that L-carnosine is a mix of histidine and alinine which is a better mix. I don't know if it is or not)
L-opticzinc - very nice mix of zinc and copper and I do need this to make the other stuff work (watch out not to over dose on zinc because your multi-vitamins may already contain zinc)
L-carnosine - what I mentioned above
Then, your regular vitamins include...
vitamin b-complex
magnesium/vitamin c/calcium
As you may already start to notice.... not 1 single thing will help you. You have to take a bunch of these and they all work in synergy.
