Diabetes Type 2 Support Group
Type 2 Diabetes is a condition in which the body either does not produce enough insulin or does not make efficient use of it. Insulin is a hormone needed to convert food into glucose, a sugar that the body uses for energy. Without enough insulin, glucose can accumulate in the blood, and can cause serious health problems such as heart disease and strokes and organ damage...

This is fantabulous news Liz!
My A1C and over all health was so good back in April that my doctor gave me a 6 month pass :)
I have lost around 90 pounds since I began my diabetic journey last October. I don't own a scale (a story for another day) and never will, so my weight loss is an estimate.....plus I changed doctors after my January visit and at that visit I was told I had lost 60 pounds....anywho....I've gone done 3 clothes sizes....I'm half the woman I was LOL.
My blood pressure is normal and my cholesterol is down considerably (use to be 288 and was down to 135 in April......my doctor says she still would love to put me on meds for that, but since my overall health was good, she said she would let it ride for now).
I think we both are doing great! Let's keep up the good work!
Ms. Blank1, congrats to you as well! It's hard work, but the pay off is huge isn't it? Yes, we'll keep at it!
