change to whole grains, wheat breads, no white potatoes, pasta, rice. These items have the starches processed differently and they also hold the numbers higher and longer.
yes you can have fruits but you do need to watch the PORTION CONTROLS of all your foods. if you decide you want to have a small slice of cake (I do cupcakes, better control of portion) make sure to count that in your meal carb count. Most of us do 30-45 carbs a meal and about 20 for a snack
it is a healthy diet, not a starvation diet or cutting out items just because it has sugar. after all sugars are carbs/carbs are sugars and your body needs carbs to begin with since it is fuel for your body and organs, we just no longer can process efficiently.
