Type 2 Diabetes is a condition in which the body either does not produce enough insulin or does not make efficient use of it. Insulin is a hormone needed to convert food into glucose, a sugar that the body uses for energy. Without enough insulin, glucose can accumulate in the blood, and can cause serious health problems such as heart disease and strokes and organ damage...
I think I am having the same issues. I went from I don't know what blood sugar level down to 45. Then after consuming 250 grams of carbohydrates I barely went back up to 99 blood sugar after five hours. An hour later I was at 116 blood sugar. Then an hour after that, I was back down in the 80's. That was last night. Today I woke up with a fasting blood sugar of 96. I skipped my nightly dose of Metformin just in case to prevent another low during the night. You need to address these possible low sugar issues with your doctor. There are specific tests he can give you in the office to diagnose this. A home testing meter is not sufficient enough to diagnose hypoglycemia. You can look up reactive hypoglycemia if you want to learn more about this particular condition. I hope this helps.
