Diabetes Type 2 Support Group
Type 2 Diabetes is a condition in which the body either does not produce enough insulin or does not make efficient use of it. Insulin is a hormone needed to convert food into glucose, a sugar that the body uses for energy. Without enough insulin, glucose can accumulate in the blood, and can cause serious health problems such as heart disease and strokes and organ damage...

And know it is a healthy diet, not a "diabetic" diet, by making some healthy changes,(ie baked/broiled not fried, no white breads, pasta, rice) watch your portion controls and learn to read the food labels and control your carbs (which are sugars) Don't get too far into the hype of sugar free since if you read the labels they have more carbs than the regular product and if you are a coke/soft drink person change to diet/coke zero and of course add water and exercise into your day
Frankly I like the help from my friends, keeps me in check and shows how much they care about me.
And I could be doing that too...like crazy. I try not to, but every once in a while it comes out of my mouth...."what is the carbs in that?"
he also has to be careful of salts and fats....geeze.
finally I realized that it isn't up to me to police what goes in his mouth...but I still buy all the groceries, so I try to "police things" before they even come into the kitchen.
it also backfired, because then he figured I would do all the thinking...and he wasn't watching anything.
Maybe they are like me and just love you. I ruffled his feathers a few times and learned my lesson.
Just tell them you have it under control.
I am sorry. I do it too. good reminder for me.
