That is a very good question. This has been one of my favorite gripes since diagnosed. My doctor says anything under 180 is good. The AMA has their take on it, so does the ADA, and the AACE has their numbers. It can be very frustrating, or at least it is to me, to know which expert to listen to. That being said, I have set my glucose goals to 110 or under for fasting level, and 130 or under for two hour post meal.
