Last Tuesday, I had to be admitted to the hospital for 3 days after finding out my blood sugar was 842. I was told originally that my blood sugar was "off the charts". What I want to warn any readers here is that if you notice that you can drink and drink AND drink water, orange juice, milk, etc., with seemingly no results of quenching your thirst, then you have to go to the restroom and feel exhausted afterwards, then you better go into the IR immediately. Don't let it get as bad as it did with me where you're pretty much on your death bed.

I'm now in the process of adjusting and feeling thousands times better than last Tuesday. I will keep each of you on my heart as we walk through this together.

glad you are doing better. Those are typical symptoms of diabetes, when they are noticed do check with your doctor, most of the times the diabetes can be caught before getting too bad if a person listens to their body. Yes ignoring those is not a good thing, also around numbers that high you will notice a change in your eyesight. I have gotten to 1000, all within a matter of a couple weeks, thanks to a stressful time in my life and within 2 wks I almost went blind

My eyesight is blurry, but really, wow, I never did think it could almost cause blindness within 2 weeks. Right now, I'm still struggling with that issue, but at least my latest results are in the 150-250 range. I've been trying to keep on top of this and really right now am thankful to be alive so I can help other people with the same condition.

once you discover all the things uncontrolled diabetes can cause, you would be shocked. I was going thru a very rough stressful time, family wise, hubby almost dying, it shot my numbers up, which of course with all the sugar running thru my system, it was stuck also in the eyes. since the vessels are very tiny the sugar could not go out as easy.

My eye doctor was able to create glasses for me to see, and every week my eyes did get better and they kept making me glasses (free!) I had what they were calling the rebound effect, my eyes actually settled at 20/20 for about a week before they are at the vision they are now. After the eye doc went thru my history, it seems my eyes were getting worse each year and they are now at the vision I was about 5 years before my diabetes went out of control
