Diabetes Type 2 Support Group
Type 2 Diabetes is a condition in which the body either does not produce enough insulin or does not make efficient use of it. Insulin is a hormone needed to convert food into glucose, a sugar that the body uses for energy. Without enough insulin, glucose can accumulate in the blood, and can cause serious health problems such as heart disease and strokes and organ damage...
Just say what you said to us. It is so scary to face up to managing your diabetes, but you have made a great start by posting here and going to the hospital, the next step is to ask for the help you know you need. Start with a nurse as they are often more friendly/less rude and know just as much as doctors do if not more, due to their direct experience with patients.
But you are right, in hospital things should be managed for you, they should adjust your insulin themselves, that is my experience anyway.
Best of luck.
I still don't agree with her and would insist on being given the proper treatment to keep my numbers between the 90 and 110 that I try to when I am at home.
