I asked for a copy of the report and took it to my PCP. He asked about it and then told me that if a random test is over 200 it is considered diabetes.
I told her I didn't want to take it and the doctor said "all medications have side affects."
I have changed back to some medication I was taking 2 times a day 5 mg Glipizide. She put me on 1 mg Glimepiride so my sugar won't go too low!!! I can't seem to get it low at all and she gives me this medication! I am hoping the Glipizide two times a day will help like it did before.
Try Coke zero and Splenda for sweetener if you can't quit sodas and sugary beverages just yet. However, try to cut down on these 'sugar-free' drinks as well as they're not as good in anyway as your regular sodas. Just sayin'
