BS levels consistantly above 400 mg/dl for the last 6 months (at least)..sometimes when I test, it just says high with no numeric reading what-so-ever (what does this mean?)..

Any repercussions or fore-see-able damages? How long can I sustain these high BS levels?

The longer you play around or wait e greater the chance you can have a stroke or go blind. It causes damage to you liver, pancreas, brain, every major organ in your your body, get to a doctor and get some help. Do not keep waiting. If you have no reading you are higher than w machine will register. Make sure when you test you are washing you hands. Dirty or greasy hands will cause high reading. Please go get help, do not wait.

I believe 'high' means beyond the measurable range of the meter. See your doctor asap as there are very serious consequences to these high levels - blindness, kidney failure, infections leading to limb amputations, neuropathy. These will not happen immediately, you may not see any damage on the outside at all, but inside, small tiny cells in your retinas and kidneys and lower limbs are imperceptibly (for now) being damaged.

But dsmart41 is right, make sure you wash your hands and also calibrate your machine, and check strips are in date.

get to the doctor, let them know your numbers are staying that high so they will get you in quickly. this is way to high to maintain those numbers.
