people have it alot worst and dont give up just because of that. you could have it alot worst.
perhaps talking to your doctors and let them know or changing to a new doctor if after 5 years and you still dont have it under control perhaps it is time for a change in doctors or meds.
I had an awesome doctor, but she wasn't a specialist in diabetes, and she just wasn't aggressive enough with my medications to bring it under control. It took me getting very ill and hospitalized to get connected with the folks at the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston. They were amazing -- efficient, aggressive, non-critical, and incredibly effective at helping to bring everything in control.
I don't know where you are, but if you are anywhere near Boston, I can't recommend Joslin strongly enough. If you're elsewhere, do some research and find yourself a specialist. Getting diabetes in control takes good nutrition, the right medication, a realistic exercise plan you can commit to... and support for your mental health.
You can do it! As soon as you start seeing results (at last), things will really start to feel better. They certainly did with me.
