Diabetes Type 1 Support Group
Childhood","Childhood diabetes is when the pancreas in a child does not produce enough insulin on its own. In order to survive, insulin injections need to be incorporated as well as diet regulation. If your child is diagnosed with diabetes, find support and share your experiences here. Caring for a child with diabetes is challenging. We're here for you."

Im so sick of having high blood sugars two nights in a row. I feel awful and just tired. I absolutly hate diabetes. 18 years with this disease and i hate it every day.

hugs my friend. I know the feeling. I was diagnosed 3 years ago. One thing that I have learned is that stress and being sick does shoot those numbers up. I had a higher A1C1 count because I was sick. It is a hit and miss game with it. One day we can eat all the wrong things and still be okay but the next day, we are high even though we do not eat junk food. Tell that to the Dr. when you see them. Maybe your medications need to be adjusted. I am on insulin and I have had to add an extra unit each meal. Dr. had me on 6 units for breakfast, 8 each for lunch and dinner. But I am high so I have added an extra unit each meal.

Welcome to DS and the group! I don't have diabetes myself, so there is no way that I can truly understand what you're going through. However, my nine-year-old niece is Type 1, and I see how much it impacts her life. Just wanted to give you a virtual hug and offer best wishes on finding something that works for you.
