Struggling with high blood sugars and A1c

Hey everyone! Ive had a really hard time keeping my blood sugar in the 100's and just checking my blood sugar overall. One time, a year ago, I didnt check my blood for 3 days! Once my dad found out, hes been making me going to counseling but nothing has changed. I dont know why I do it and I cant seem to get up and just check my blood. Also, my last A1c was 10.6, and I am supposed to be around 7.5. My A1c's have always been high since I was born. If anyone has advice, please comment back. Thank you!

Hi I can totally relate! Type one diabetes is so exhausting especially when your parents helicopter around your numbers and a1cs. I have been through it all treatment and counseling, I feel parents don't truly understand the difficulty this illness presents and the frustration it brings us as the individuals truly experiencing it. If you want to talk or just vent I'm here to just validate and relate. Good luck!

Try the best you can, please check your blood every day. I know how you feel. At times, I would just love to toss everything into the garbage bin. One day you can do everything right and still be high and the next day you eat everything in sight and be in the normal range. Just asking, did you have your thyroids checked. My Dr. did a battery of tests and found out I was having Thyroid issues. Ask your Dr. to re-evaluate all your medications. Maybe they are not working for you as they should. My A1C1 was 6.3 and the Dr. wants it under 6. One other thing, do not stress yourself out over it. It will cause those pesky numbers to shoot up.

    I had gone to the grocery store.  When I wheeled my cartback to my car I just stool there a minute.  A few spacesaway a Tesla Cyber truck was parked.  I had seen it on theroad a few times for a few seconds.  But not close up.It looked like it belonged to 2126 and not 2026.  I wasgoing to take a picture of the car but the owners cameback and drove away.  It was an ordinary middle age...
