Developing a Positive Attitude DAPA Community Group
Hi, This group is dedicated to helping people develop a positive attitude. It is for all depression sufferers, anybody who suffers from anxiety or stress, has suffered bad experiences in the past, or anyone who desires to develop a more positive attitude through positive thinking.
I want desperately to have peace of mind...that quiet contentment that I long for. I can feel that way for a time, and then someone does or says something to me or my kids and I struggle with feeling positive.
My advice to you is that the next time you feel like you want to speak up, just do it, do not supress your response for want of a quiet life. There will be times where it is better not to say something because the time or place is not appropriate but normally you feel that there is something you need to say, feel entitled and say it.
Initially your husband will find it hard to cope with you speaking your mind but in the end he will have to learn to live with it in the end you will both have a much better level of communication.
LIVE YOUR LIFE not somebody elses.
Sorry if you think that I am looking for different ways to tell you to assert yourself but I think this could be very good for you.
Checking in, too! We've had a busy week, last week of school for grandkids, go one day, out, go one day, it's been chopped up and 5th grade graduation was yesterday. They get report cards tomorrow morning and then we've got to head to my Mom's. My step father is in the hospital and she needs us to be there with her. Wishing all a Blessed Day.
I can see you guys have let your DAPA website fall between the cracks of the negative environments we all try to escape. Please come back...I need you!
Barb's Here
For many months now I had wanted to accept myself completely but I learned the hard way that you cannot accept what you have yet to learn about yourself. Of course there may still be things about myself that I have not discovered but I have a real good feeling about my self acceptance right now.
PS: Now I know what my thought for the day will be.
