Hey there, iv been skin picking for over 10 years now and thought it was just me all alone, so for 10 years+ i never thought it would get this bad let alone think it was a problem, when i did find out this isnt normal im the only one in summer time wearing pants and long sleeve tops, and friends and family always telling me to put dresses and shorts on, got me thinking to sort it out so i finally got the courage to see my doctor about it which took alot of b##ls to do, as i am ashamed of my skin. And it was getting worst, he told me it would be ok and gave me ointment for the sores that were already there. Confused thinking these are more then sores, with 10 years of old scar's. I went home and searched online and found out theres thousands of people who suffer just like me. Im glad i found people who can relate. I live in new zealand where we dont really have the resources and also think my doctor is uneducated on dermatillomania. So step one was admit to myself i have a problem (skin picking) step two find out what its called ( dermatillomania) step three find out who can help???
