I'm not sure about the other meds, However I do take Zoloft. When I first started taking it I was really tired during the daytime. So my doctor told me to start taking it at night time. And that seemed to help. As far as side effects go, I really didn't have any. The doctor told me it was really safe to use.

My first med was Zoloft though I don't remember a loss of appetite I do remember the fatigue. So tired it was hard to get up and go to work each day and thank goodness I took public transit bc I would have been a road hazard driving like that. I also went from being suicidal to homicidal. We switched to Lexapro immediately. It could have been a bad combination of some of the other meds I was on too, Ambien for sleep and something else for anxiety that I don't remember the name of now. Be very careful about the mix and match, docs will tell you it's safe but many people die from "properly" prescribed meds. (hug)

I was on Zoloft for a while. No side affects at all. It just stopped working for me after a while

all SSRIs give me what you are describing along with intolerable anxiety.

but zoloft was the worst for me for stomach upset, which when you have IBS and GERD is even harder to take.

but, my Dr said had I been more compliant due to other issues with it the stomach upsets often settle.

fatigue could be the depression, if it hasnt kicked in yet as you said the other had stopped working.

my uneducated and non medical opinion is that if SSRIs have worked for you before, zoloft would be a good choice.

Your symptoms are the most common side effects of any SSRI. Hopefully they will go away when your body gets used to the new drug.
If it gets too bad, you could always ask the doc to lower the dose and work your way back up to the target dose. I had to do this with Lexapro
[another SSRI ].
The stomach upset is because 95% of the bodie's seratonin is in the bowels , even thought the drugs targets seratonin in the brain.

i think its more like 90%? but anyway, yep thats a good point. there is a direct link between the gut and brain. thats why some refer to it as the second brain.

and thats why gut health is so important.

also if you dont have a healthy gut, processing drugs is hardwork.
