Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
It's 52 here, 20 degrees or more below normal for this time of year. A relative came here from far up north and rented a house for the winter. She's shivering with blankets piled on. She didn't come to Florida to run the heat. Stubborn.
Anyhow, I attended a class many years ago at IBM and the guy put on a video. It started with a young couple holding hands, running down a tropical beach to idyllic-sounding music. Maybe 30 seconds of that and the narrator interrupts to say "Allright, we've got work to do!". I think almost everyone in the place groaned.
So now, if you're tired of cold and snow....what would your favorite vacation spot be?
My favorites (after it warms up quite a bit) would be Haulover Beach near Miami, Key West or Paradise Lakes near Tampa. Of course I need a pleasant companion. Rae, do you have your flight info yet?

I wouldn't touch Florida for free.
Give me an island with the purest sand, the bluest ocean and divine food. Maybe 100 people at any one time. Now that's heaven.
However Florida hasn't been warm enough..I say we go to Costa Rica. I fell in love with this village called Tamarindo. Time stands still there. The beach is gorgeous...water the perfect color of blue. Our biggest decision of the day will be which color umbrella to have in our tropical drink that day. Paradise.

I also need to visit friends in Istanbul. What an itinerary! I'll never come back home, at this rate....
maybe i'll just travel all over Europe, so much history, culture, and sites.
I also want to go do a lot of walking in the British Isles. I'm gonna need another life, to do everything I hope to....
