Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Keep looking for support with groups and ds members. It helps me. Believe me I have my moments, hours, days....et cetera. I wouldn't go out at all many times, but I have to walk my pup-doggy.
There are good people here. The new ds? I am not on-board with a lot of it, but I'm trying to remain hopeful.
Speaking of hopeful, please know that we share some common ground.
Keep posting, please. I luv your honesty and fortitude.
Take care.

"As a kid, whenever I got sick my mom would say: 'Don't worry, son. There's nothing so bad that it can't be fixed with a bottle of cheap Scotch and a couple of hookers'. Or was that the old crusty guy who hung around the schoolyard? No matter -- either way, it's terrific advice."

As for myself, I have to agree, living is thye problem... Luckily, Life is a terminal diagnosis... and decades of chronic pain and severe depression have made suicide a much more appealing alternative, except for the damage it would do to my son and the facrt that if I committed suicide my wife would kill me... only slightly joking there... So, I pass my days thinking about how and when I could do it and what would appear most acxcidental... Thankfully, since my insomnia keeps me up about 22 out of every 24 hours and I spend most of thart trime in my recliner and I've got diabetes, sleep apnea, major mobility issues, huge dental problems, and LOTS more fun stuff, something terminal should come along sometime soon... I just keep biding my time and hoping... funny old life, ain't it... FUCKING SUCKS! :( Meh.
