Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Depression is awful. It's just awful. I can't tell you how awful. But there's always sunshine after rain. There is. You forget there is. I was down the bottom of the well (lassie run home, timmy's down the well!) for maybe six months at one stretch. Boy was it dark down there. there was no future. It was all just awful. I could not cope. But I had children. So I had to keep on with this pointless, pointless existence.
I'm glad I have children. :) You can climb out of this well. It takes a while, and it takes a few choices and decisions. You have to get help if you can, and you have to let your soul fill back up, which it does with a lack of bad experiences, Lying in bed is great for that. Doing nothing is fantastic. Crying is even better.
those very things that we do that convince us there is no hope are the very things that if we do them, just do them, will be our cure.
So let yourself wallow. And I'm so glad you have a dog. :)
A person just cried and slept and cried it out. Under the mess is the clean. Under the sad is the happy. time, sunshine, doggy walks, loneliness... go all the way through it and out the other side.
:)
I hope this post finds you well and I hope you keep the faith :)
