I don't want anyone talking me out of what I'm about to do. I'm not asking advice for what my plan is to get into the mental hospital is... Sick of being turned away when I need help. Well I need help now and I'm not taking no for an answer.

I have 40 valium and 8 Temazepam (sleeping tablets). If I take them just prior to walking in the hospital doors can I be saved or is there a good chance I'll die?

Really I just want to know so I can get my affairs in order in case it's the latter.

I'm not going to try in anyway to talk you out of your plan though I do understand your desperation.

Just my opinion here but unless you are literally at the doors of the hospital, and even then, you do stand a good chance of dying. Even being at the hospital itself when you do it is no guarantee they can re-start your heart or prevent permanent brain damage.

Couldn't you just call an abulance, tell them you're about to kill yourself if they don't come get you right then and there?? 911 would also be a good option to get you into the hospital.

They don't care... They just turn me away and ask my mum to watch over me. She hasn't the faintest how I feel. Every day I wake up and I just want to die. I'm getting treated like crap at home. I'm no good at picking up the phone and calling someone cause it just feels so personal, whereas here it's anonymous. I just want some time away, and I really don't think this is an environment I can get better in. Not with all the negativity and the mean comments that are thrown behind my back. I just want to get help for my mum because she's the one having to deal with me and she's obviously not able to with the things she says.

God, I don't know what to do. I just want out of this awful place called life. I thought of driving in to Mental Health and telling them if they didn't admit me then I would follow through with my plan. I guess I could try that. It's something at least, right?

That's exactly what you need to do, go to the er or mental health hospital and tell them you are on the verge of this. You are about to kill yourself, please I was there and fighting to not be where your at. Please go in, even though I'm trying and still seriously sick I know that my kids need me,
This illness blinds us to reality. Please get help.

Double ditto what justletmebe said....drive right over there and tell them like it is...also mention you have no one at home to help you, not lying, your mom can't help you.

Please, please, get those keys and drive over there now.

I know someone who took an overdose and had their stomach pumped and they died a week later. I took one and was sick for a week, horrible way to go, but I was lucky. I took painkillers, but antidepressants may brain damage you not just your liver. Best to ask for help. Please do
