Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Also, it is time to promise yourself you will not cut yourself off from your friends for anyone else. If anyone, guy, gal, pal, asks that of you, that is a sure danger sign. I realize they don't literally 'ask', but they do push & pull you into these isolations.
Best of luck -- as painful as it is now, you sound better off without him.
I know it sounds weird...but if the breakup was really a good idea...which it sounds like yours was...it really is something to celebrate. So you get a celebration for dumping a load of toxic crap out of your life, and an awesome time out with your friends...sounds good, eh?
A few of them may give you crap for ignoring them in the first place...which is natural. But if they keep it up to the point where they're putting a huge load of guilt on you, DON'T get sucked in. Chances are, they did the same thing to their friends at some point in thier lives because of a relationship...I think we all have, to one degree or another.
Party it up and celebrate being free and reconnecting with the ones that matter :)
