Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Hope is all we can have. It's the only sure thing. Without hope there isn't even the option of anything else. Hope is what makes us get up each day and keep trying. It is the knowledge that some day things will get better. They will, but not if you just stay where you are and drink and drug yourself to death. You need to start treating yourself like you deserve to be loved. Because you do, everyone does.
Get the heck off of Facebook.
That place can be such a downer, with everyone trying to outdo everyone else with status updates about how fabulous their lives are. Or, in your case, relationship statuses...
I still have my account, but the last post on my wall (or is it finally a timeline?) says to not expect a reply from me anytime soon because I don't log in regularly.
And, TBH, my life is better without all that fake fluff.
That is not going to help you..............
God Has Not Forsaken You.
Please stop drinking and using drugs.
Do you go to a Gym???
That's a great place to get healthy and meet new people........
Much Healing And HOPE To You
As for hope, warm and fuzzy is virtually impossible for the depressed so just set that bag of bricks down. For me, it's enough that I accept that things will get better, even if I do not feel it. But I also know that if I'm not proactive in digging in, this sickness is going to be the rest of my life. And if I let it go unchecked, it will become something even worse. This thought has peeled me off the sofa a few times, in spite of depression's couch-lock tendencies.
im sorry i cant comprehend what you mean
Imagine that the path that leads from your house to the place where everybody meets and has fun is full of boulders and takes hours for you to walk from home to that fun place.
You could pray to God and ask for the humbleness to accept the barrier for what it is and to find happiness in solitude.
You could pray and ask God to remove all the boulders for you, to make the path smooth for you and then sit back and wait for it to happen.
You could pray and ask God to give you the endurance to navigate the path each day.
Or you could pray and ask God for the strength to move the boulders out of the way and/or build a new path around them.
The choice we make can be quite telling.
I did not mean to offend.
