Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Why is it that everytime you think you are finally winning the battle against depression. That you are on an even keel and that you can see a future ahead, something happens and wham bang you back down again.
I've come to accept that this will always happen, it's happened time and time again over the years i've had depression, but it still no easier to understand why? Why does it happen? Why does it happen to me? Why, if there is someone out there watching over us does he allow it to happen? Why? why? why?
Finally felt i was on an even keel, hit a slitly rocky patch but it didn't last long, fought it and made it back up, then wham bang. 4am last Friday (just over a week ago) at least 2 people who were strangers to me thought they would try and rock the boat. Of course they didn't know I had depression and would take it badly, but purely by their actions they decided they would hurt someone. They broke into my house while I was asleep upstairs, took a load of my stuff and then escaped in my car !!!!!!!
Now i'm back down at rock bottom, just about hanging on, just about coping with work. In fact doing double shifts at work, just to stay out of the house, not sleeping, feeling like crap.
My partner blames me for the breakin, i think i locked the door, but it appears i didn't! there is some proof tat they walked up our road trying every door handle, so it seems they succeeded on opening my door.
If this is the case the insurance company won't pay out on the over 1000 worth of stuff they stole. The car was recovered, but all our belonging are gone.
Don't want to stay in the house, but yet don't want to go out, don't want to drive my car. just generally feeling like total shit.
Who gives these guys the right to ruin our lives. wish i had caught them at it. Police arrested 3 lads in my car, but can't tie them to the burglary at present as they are denying it, they wouldn't be denying it if I caught them.
I think the arab countries have it right, if you caught thieving cut of their hand !!
Sorry for the rant, just feeling sooooo like crap, thougth i was out the top and managing things and then this happens.
My partner has BPD and Rapid cycling mood disorder as well as OCD, anxiety and panic attacks. Can't let on to her how much i'm hurting, will only make her feel worse, she's not good at present either, wasn't good before this all happened let alone now and let alone with me adding my burden.
So, the big question we all probably have is Why ME. Anyone got any answers !!!!

Thieves can pick a lock in 60 seconds the Insurance can not prove that is not what happened.
How can it be your fault it was the thieves fault - blame.
No wonder you are feeling low this normal my brother in law and sister in law are the happiest people you could meet.
They had the same thing happen to them it really devistated them the feelings of being violated and some one going through there things and steeling there stuff.
Honest I have never seen so stressed they did not get over it for months.
Do not let these people take anything more from you specially you peace I think they have taken wnough already they are the material things.
They do not deserve to get your emmotions in turnmoil.
