I felt rushed by my therapist too but he is one of 2 in town so I dont really have a choice but to take what i can get. I dont feel my mental health has even been assessed, they dont even know if i have high blood pressure. I sat with a therapist for a half hour he wrote down work stress handed me a bunch of cymbalta and a perscription for clonazepoam and said see you in 3 months. I attended counselling and I swear the lady was a nut she had half her head shaved shes about 60 and because I don't have a bad relationship with my parents she couldn't understand why I would need counselling. They have this way of making our inner pain seem so minimul I just don't get it, maybe years of doing what they do have hardened them to things like rape, abuse, and violence, I'm not sure all I know is it doesn't help to deel with an insensitive prick when you are trying to get better.
Take Care
I think I would have said "Excuse me?! If I could casually talk about being raped I would not be here in the first place!"
Then I'd walk out the door, find the head person, walk in, tell them what happened, then leave.
