Where am I?

I feel like I've hit hte lowest point one could hit. I have taken depression meds since I can remember but have never really been consistent. My boyfriend of two years and I just broke up. It's now that I am getting really sad because he was supposed to fly here to visit me for thanksgiivng but we canceled the ticket. I know it was best for us to be over but I can't stop thinking of what was supposed to be, and all of our time together. We had talked about marriage and what we would name our kids. I haven't talked to him in two weeks, and I just wonder if he feels the same. Its killing me, sometimes I can't even get myself motivated to get out of bed.

It's always hard when a relationship ends. It brings on the "might have been"s. Just be kind to yourself while you grieve what could have been. The loss of the relationship is the same as if he had died, so grieve as you need to and be nice to yourself. Just do what you feel up to doing and gradually push yourself to do just a little more every day or week.

i'm sorry you're going through such a rough time. heartache takes a lot of time to get over.

awww I recently went through a break up with my boyfriend too. He made all these promises but then he never followed through and I keep thinking of what could have been and where we could be know if he had remained the same person this fall as he was this summer. It is heart breaking but it is for the best when a relationship starts to fail. You are still allowed to cry and be sad because of it but know that it really was for the best and you'll find someone new who loves you deeply and fulfills all of his promises and you will have what you were supposed to have with him.
