Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
If they aren't sure what to do that can hep, maybe you can talk to them and try to explain depression better to them or ask them to read up on some material to do with your illness.
If they are just sick of you because of your depression, then fuck them. They aren't worth it. I've had people in both camps. I am at a point where I don't give a flying fuck who stays and who goes, when it gets down to it, the only person that will truly care for you is you, but your explaining to your friends about your illness may go a very long way in how they treat you from here on out.
Good luck to you.
with depression themselves.
I mean, would they grow tired of you being physically sick???
Would they say,
"I'm so tired of Pippilotta's....................(insert physical illness here)
Of course not, that would be totally ridiculous.
But apparently they feel like depression is something you could turn off if you really wanted to.
They are so ignorant.........................
I agree with the others. Truly good friends will understand your situation or at least they'll try to stick with you. Have you tried going to a real life group that deals with depression and ohter mental illness? These people have already dealt or are dealing with some of the same issues you have at the moment. There could be a chance of finding a friend or two in a group that undrestands what you're going through. All the best to you and many ((( Hugs )))
Talking to them about it is a great place to start. Explain to them that you don't want to push them away, and you just need them to be patient. If they listen, and respond, then you know they are true friends. If they blow you off, at least you tried, and then you can move on and not have to stress about keeping them happy.
Good luck.
