Sorry to finish what I was saying. But at times no one answers or writes. Here if u would like to chat

I have been a member on here since 2010 I think and will come back every few years and I have to say it is definitely not as active as it used to be. I wonder why

There was a time that DS was much more popular. We refer to it as the Old DS. It had a chat feature and was VERY busy. Lots of social interaction. The problem was the core software of the system became VERY outdated and DS revamped from the ground up. In so doing, it lost a TREMENDOUS user base. It also lost some features. The 'NEW' DS just is not as usable as it was.

Thing is, .. it is what we have, and it is not going to go back. Today, it is what we make of it. I agree, it falls short of what it used to be, but I know of no other site that offers anything like it .... as it is now or how it was in the past.

I am not a DS employee. I am a VOLUNTEER DS Community Leader. Please don't be angry with me. (:-}

I think around holidays people tend to isolate more. Give it time people will come back in masses.

Yeah I really get you so you might want to check out the chat sites for depression and other issues like healthful chat.com

I think a chat feature on this site would be a great idea, I too could do with talking to someone right now, sending hugs your way x

With the old DS it was easier to chat, as WanderingVet said, but it isn't like that anymore, unfortunately. It's really changed over the years. It used to be more user friendly. For those who don't know you can private message people.
