Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I am with you on people taking things that they do not need. My mom already takes a nerve medication and it seems to not work that well anymore, so the doctor just wants to see if something else works better.
I thank you so much for speaking out on behalf of my mom, sometimes parents are not looked out for like they should and I am glad that you spoke out when you felt you needed to.
As a daughter, you are giving of yourself and giving big doses of LOVE! That is the best medicine she can receive! Do not feel like you have to fix her mood or make her feel better. Just meet her where she is, keep offering love and know that it will pass. Let her know that you need her as this makes her feel valued. Ask her for her opinion on things. Lastly, take it fifteen minutes at a time and be gentle with yourself. She knows you love her and she is greatly comforted by your time and attention, of this I am absolutely sure!!! God is leading you and it is clear you are obeying! Blessings and hugs!
