I am wondering what kind of things you are seeing in your husband? Because I am bipolar, I have to take it by dividing the pills into 1/4, which is not supposed to be done, or I will be awake 24/7. My pdoc said if it works, go for it.
So that gets me back to what you are seeing. This antidepressant can trigger bipolar in people who have the tendency. Actually most of them can. It has something to do with dopamine, rather than Seratonin, which most SSRI's deal with. If he seems very pushed, not sleeping, buying or sex sprees, those are very strong symptoms for bipolar. Also anger can happen. Let me know how he is doing. It's too bad you can't talk to his doc, with privacy and confidentiality laws. Hopefully you can find out what the problem is.
